My wife bought me a pair of shoes as a present. Unfortunately they didn't fit. I took them back to the shop but the next size was not a good fit either. I was offered a credit but no refund. At nearly $300 this is a lot of money to be out of pocket and at a shop with a small selection of shoes that are not likely to appeal to me. My wife nearly bought the shoes online where we would have been able to get a refund. But she chose to support a local business... This is why it is so disappointing. We're always being advised to support local businesses but this is the result. I don't mind paying a bit more to support 'the little guy' but I expect better service than this.
Needless to say I won't be going back (and have a credit note for sale!).
