- Jean Chopping Added August 06, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆.Sadly, I ordered a minion sponge cake on line for pick up on a Saturday afternoon and was extremely disappointed. The presentation looked exactly as advertised, however, the sponge was so dry that no one wanted to eat it past the first bite. I needed to apologise to the Birthday girl, and she so graciously said “it was the thought that counts”. When spending $50 on a cake (or $44 - not including the personalised message), I would expect fresh sponge, but this one tasted as if it was one week old at least. Sorry, but the standard provided was extremely poor. There was nothing really enjoyable about this cake besides how it looked. I would not recommend, nor buy from Fiona’s Fancies again.
